The Irish Family and Local History Handbook 2

You know those sequels that are well worth waiting for....?!

The second edition of the Irish Family and Local History Handbook, edited by Robert and Elizabeth Blatchford, will be on sale from next weekend at the Back to Our Past event in Dublin (www.backtoourpast.com). Bob and Liz will once again be holding a stall there, so do pop along and say hello to them!

Incidentally, as with the British edition of the work, the genealogical directory at the back has been updated, but most of the book has completely new articles and reference material. As such, if you have the first edition already, this is an almost totally new work - and if you haven't then that's two books seriously missing from your family history library which you may wish to address!

If you can't make it to Dublin I believe the official launch of the book in the UK will be at the Who Do You Think You Are Live event in Feb 2013. I have an article or two in there, very much looking forward to seeing a copy soon!
