The National Archives (www.nationalarchives.gov.uk) has partnered with the Charter Excavator project (aka ChartEx) to help find ways to interpret its rich collection of medieval English and Welsh land records for historical research. The collaborative team will be led by the University of York, with partners including the universities of York, Brighton, Leiden, Toronto, Washington and Columbia, as well as TNA and York's Borthwick Institute for Archives.
